[Dixielandjazz] "The Entertainer's" Composer

        My copy of Bunk's "Last Testament" LP album (Columbia
GL 520) lists J. R. Johnson as the only composer of The
Entertainer.   Every other record, album or CD notes, and book I have lists
or mentions  Scott Joplin as the sole composer.  Arhoolie LP
1058 entitled "New Orleans Ragtime Orchestra" on the back of its jacket has
a copy of John Stark & Son's sheet music title page stating the piece was
composed by Joplin - no mention of any J. R. Johnson.  I conclude that
Columbia was obviously in error.
