[Dixielandjazz] tv interview

During our last nite of a 7 nite run at a local jazz club, one of the newer
tv stations came in (after asking if they could beforehand, which is
unusual!), and filmed a bit of our show. Then, on the break there was a
short interview with the band.

One of the usual questions popped up: "Do you find that younger people come
to your gigs?".
To answer, I had to be a bit coy, as this particular club we were in has a
door charge that basically keeps the kids out!

The fact is, that where we played last week, the crowds are more in the
"over 40's" age, but just down the street we do at least a week a month in a
club that has no cover charge. There, the kids pour into the place. More
down to economics than to likes or dislikes.
