[Dixielandjazz] Wha is trad "Jazz"?

Grah, as I recall when I talked to Turk , both before the war and after, I don't recall there being any discussion about the subject ie: Trad or Dixieland. I was more interested in the lyrics of some of the songs. Turk obligingly wrote out the lyrics on a menu from Hambone Kellys of a couple of tunes, Coney Island and two others. Those I sent to the SanFran Trad Jazz Society, when reducing the misc paper load.
