[Dixielandjazz] Albuquerque NM Mardi Gras 2/12

The Rio Grande Jazz Society meets at the German American Club at 4821  Menaul 
NE
on February 12 from 1-5 p.m.   This is the annual Mardi Gras  session and 
will feature
three local bands,   Jazz A la Carte (Doc Rock, leader),   Duke City Jazz 
Band  (Bill
Biffle, leader) and Swingin' Dixieland Band (Chris Williams, leader).
All proceeds will go to the Youth Music Scholarships which are given to  local
high school music students each year.
 
And, less than 1/2 mile away Butch Thompson is performing at St. John's  
United
Methodist Church at 2 P.M.  Unfortunately, the RGJS was not aware of  this 
concert until
this week.
