[Dixielandjazz] Why guitar and not banjo?

Makes sense Bob, as does what Steve brought up about the Minstrel 
image, having worked with Black Musicians most of my career I know 
first hand that many of them still shy away from Dixieland Music 
because of that ( at least perceived in their minds ) image, as well as 
the fact that so many of  modern day Black musicians shun playing the 
Blues too.
