The politically correct terminology for the gigilo today Is "A good
Friend with benefits " :))
Now ain't that polite ? :)) There is a great increase in demand for
them these days too. Especially on Cruise Ships,:))
Now all you out of work T-Bone players know where to find a gig :))
There's a Ship Leaving soon Be On It :))
Who knows today may actually be the Day your Ship comes in, so don't
go to the Airport and miss it AGAIN :))
Musicians often offer great Benefits. :))
Especially Drummers. Trombonist are however giving the rest of us a
Bad name, they are such Perv's you know, going to bed wearing their
pagers etc. :))
Cheers, Musical content: "I'm just a Gigolo"

Where did the word "gig" , meaning a musician's job or a temporary job
come
from?
Answer: Most of the places checked said gig's origins are unknown, but
it's
been around since the early 1900's.
It might have once been a slang word for a dance or party. Or it might
have
come from gigi or giggy which are very old Anglo Saxon slang terms for a
part of the female anatomy.
Any comments?????

I am probably wrong on this but, I've always thought it was derived from
gigolo - a male 'escort' who offered his services on 'one night stands'.
