Hello all,
The website has been updated with three items of great historical interest.
Noted jazz researcher Laurie Wright has kindly granted me permission to post
an article, which appeared in the Storyville magazine in 1975. Titled,
"Roger Richard Talks to Albert Nicholas", this is one of the largest
articles on the website --- a terrific read.
Prof. Albert Haim sends a superb article on Charley (Charles Theodore)
Straight, the well-known ragtime composer and pianist. This accompanies
Straight's WW1 draft registration card, and includes previously unknown
information about Straight.
The 4th in a series of articles written by J. Lawrence Cook for the
International Musician, dated August 1941. The article includes scans of
hand-written music examples by Cook. Courtesy of Prof. Brian Dolan and
Prof. Alan Wallace.
The above items can be accessed from the grey UPDATED BOX at:

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
Mike.
