Sad news indeed about Kenny Davern.

He was a master jazz musician and IMO the best OKOM clarinetist during the
past half century or so.

John Petters wrote about his playing Pee Wee Blues. Yes indeed, Davern loved
Pee Wee Russell. He was blown away the first time he heard a Russell record
as a teenager. He and Pee Wee later became great friends.

I suspect he will have a NY Times obit and will forward it when it appears.

RIP Kenny.
