The 34th Annual International Conference of the International
Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) will take place January 10-13 in
New York City. Among the many concerts, workshops and exhibits will be
a panel discussion session, "Still Swinging: Trad Jazz Is Alive and
Well."

Participants will include Jim Cullum; Leslie Johnson, Editor of the
Mississippi Rag (Panel Moderator); Arbors Records President/CEO Mat
Domber; trombonist Wycliffe Gordon; and Dukes of Dixieland promoter
John Shoup.

The discussion will focus on how traditional jazz is still being
marketed and performed all over the world. The panel is scheduled for
Friday, January 12 at 9:00 A.M.
