If you are interested in the health of jazz muicians you might wish to read
my book "Jazz and Death. Medical Profiles of Jazz Greats" published by the
University Press of Mississippi in 2002. This describes the medical
histories of about 100 jasz players from Scott Joplin and James Reese Europe
to Charlie Parker , Miles Davis and beyond. Regards.
