I don't have any "clips" to link to but..

I first heard Maynard back in the forties.
I feel really fortunate to be teaching with Bob Odneal
at San Jac South in Houston, (last 2 years)
Bob played with M.F. for a while.

(slight digression) I have a page dedicated to Stan Mark
on my web site. I'd like to update it with his current address.

Maynard played at the school - one concert each year.
Our Jazz band played the first set and we sat on stage with
the great Maynard while his group played.
Later we chatted in the "green" room.
Maynard and I talked about his days with Charlie Barnet,
Stan Kenton and the Birdland Dream Band - 1952 or there abouts.
He has always been one of my idols.
About ten years ago I made up a cd containing the rarest, not necessarilly
the best, recordings of Maynard Ferguson.

"All The Things You Are" with Charlie Barnet:
Came out on 78 rpm shellac. Mrs. Jerome Kern heard it and demanded
it be taken off the market. The record company complied. Perhaps 50
to 100 copies were sold.

Anyway, I sell the "mini show", specially produced cd on my web site
for $15.00 + shipping.
Anyone on this list - Dixieland Jazz - wanting a copy - send me an email.
$10.00 for members. Here's a list of what is on the cd.
