Yes Glen, my comment was definitely Tongue in cheek and I would say the
same thing about Mexico except it appears that they have annexed the
USA or at least repossessed much of it. :))

I was not attacking Canada at all, and I don't even know what your
prime minister's stand on portable toilets is much less his/her stand
on world events, nor do I really care, any more than I do about any
other politicians stand, as a matter of fact I could not pick your
prime minister out of a police lineup if they happened to be in one.

I don't follow Ice Hockey but I have some fine Canadian Friends, and it
has absolutely nothing to do with them being Canadians, they just
happen to live there, And if the politicians on both sides of that
imaginary border would go away we could all walk back and forth across
that line and play a lot more good music together.

I happen to view myself as a Patriotic World Citizen and can assure you
that I don't think our own politicians views reflect the majority of
Americans either, even though many of them voted for them twice:
Personally I am waiting for the Three strikes your out to kick in.

Far beyond Jazz, naw just a few guys with a bit of humor even if it
might be a bit wry having a bit of sport with each other, so please
don't take it all that seriously glen, I have not seen anything in
these posts that even appeared to be hateful, it was all said tongue in
cheek, and meant to be entertaining as was pretty much stated in most
of the posts.

Smile and don't get your toga in a knot we are all pretty much friends
on this great list and have survived a whole lot of nastier banters
over the years.

Cheers,

Tom who does not have presidential aspirations Wiggins

I try to stay removed from these pointless arguments however Tom's
comment,
although no doubt tongue in cheek, about Canada will not be ignored.

If patriotic folks of other nations attack mine they better be prepared
for
a response that may well embarrass them in front of the rest of the free
thinking world.

Please do not think that our Prime Ministers stand in current world
events
reflects the view of the majority of Canadians.

Tom says many things that I agree with however if he , or anybody else,
attacks my country they better be prepared for a strong response.

Perhaps it is time for Bob Ringwood to intervene before this whole thing
gets far beyond jazz, Come think of it ,it has probably done so already

Good will to all, Glen.

Kind of like USA's Baseball "World Series" where no teams form other
countries are invited to compete:))

Well except Canada, and didn't we annex them some time ago :))

What's in a name anyway ??

Tom Wiggins

Fearless shameless leader of the World's Next Greatest Jazz Band that
plays Blues, Zydeco, Gospel, Soul, Funk, R&B, Country and anything else
they want to hear and are willing to pay WELL for. I also always vote
for the Audience to WIN. I have always BEEN MORE INTERESTED IN BEING
IN FRONT OF THE WORLD'S BEST Paying AUDIENCES THAN A SMALL CROWD OF
MUSICIANS ON THE GUEST LIST :))

This "incident" proves that a competition is not such a good Idea.
