I apologize for being off-topic.  Citing sources would be off-topic  also, 
and would only lead to a contest of whose sources are best.  So I'll  listen to 
some good jazz instead--based on my opinion of "good".

May I point out two things:

expression, such sweeping generalizations are total  bullshit.
