[Dixielandjazz] Armstrong west end blues

It sound  strange to me that the great Satchmo recorded his master tune west
end blues only 7 times. according to my discography.It is more surprising that
since  his hot five recording of 1928 he never recorded until his second
recording of 1939
anybody has another data?
