Sorry, some sad news - some of you may know Al Hayes - tuba player for Your Father's Mustache Band in Denver - his wife Vaughn, passed away and I thought I'd pass this along, since some of you may know them...  This was sent by Roger Campbell, leader of the Pearl Street Jazz Band in Denver...

Since we all have worked with Al Hayes at one point or another (in the PSJB in particular), I thought I would pass along this news...

Vaughn passed away last Saturday at 4:57 PM. Al seems to be doing quite well with it, he said she was at peace, they forgave each other for all the bad that was done. She was in the hospital, and then a rehab place for a few weeks.

If you want to attend, grave side ceremony is Thursday at 10:00 AM at Fort Logan.  It should only last about 15 minutes.  Fort Logan National Cemetary is located off  Sheridan and 285. 4400 W. Kenyon Ave is the address. Take the north entrance to the first staging area, which is area A. No earlier than 9:45, no later than 10:00, or as Al says, "You will miss the party"
