Yes indeed, and they are all hip musicians. The have multiple formats, trio,
quartet, quintet, and larger. They also have several names. Le Jazz Hot, Hot
Club of San Francisco, etc. These are serious jazz professionals who also
offer jazz teaching programs at schools and other places. And they do make a
lot of money with jazz music. Any clarinetist who applies better damn well
be technically proficient, if not virtuoso, as well as know how to swing.
Best of all, being in demand, they also have multiple agencies booking them
into venues like the San Francisco Jazz Festival and many others. For a
