Art & all,   I use a HP laptop that has a Lightscribe drive.  It uses a special CD that costs more than the standard CDs.  So far I am not finding the graphics as flexible as what is available to print on a stick-on label.  (Of course that could be a user problem, not a limitation on the equipment.(g))  The biggest challenge is that I can copy the tunes from itunes to the CD in about 5 minutes or so, BUT the lightscribe label  process takes about 15 minutes to etch.  Not a big deal if you doing one CD only, but if you are trying to make several copies, it is not practical.

This will imprint a laser design on a specially designed CD. I haven't tried 
it, but next time I upgrade, I am tempted to buy this CD writer.
Ocassionally paper labels do get slightly wrinkled and stick in my car CD 
player, so I prefer to use a marking pen.
