Well, Jerrt, et al:

Since you like statistical oddities, here's one that I have experienced
several times here in the North Country.
In the States we use Fahrenheit temperature scales; in Europe they use
the metric Celsius scales.
So when it turns cold enough to freeze it is 32 F. and 0 C. From that
piont one, with one exception, the scales do not seem to agree on just how
cold is if you are not used to the other scale.
That one exeception is this -- the one time the two scales agree is when
it is really cold enoughto worry Nuns, Wtiches, and Ditch Diggers.
At -40 degees on both F. & C. scales, they agree on just how cold it is.
Beliieve it, "it ain't a fit time out for man nor beast." (W.C. Fields -
the Fatal Glass of Beer).
That's my contribution to statistical trivia.
