Sounds more like the kind of concerts I expected and would want to hear.
Sorry we will miss them as they are on cable. We have an old fashioned
antenna. ;-)

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] More New York City Concerts For The Gulf Coast

NYC is host to 2 more concerts to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina. Bear
Stearns and Keyspan are the presenting sponsors. 100% percent of all ticket
sales will be donated to the relief funds. Date is tomorrow, Sep 20. It is a
recognition of how New Orleanians responded to 9/11. Only some performers
are listed. Many more appearing.

Concert One - Madison Square Garden. http://www.thegarden.com

Jimmy Buffett, Elvis Costello, Elton John, Diana Krall, Simon & Garfunkel
PLUS - "Trombone Shorty" Andrews, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Clarence "Frogman"
Henry, The Neville Brothers, Rebirth Brass Band, Kermit Ruffins, Alain
Toussaint, Buckwheat Zydeco

Concert Two - Radio City Music Hall http://radiocity.com

Trey Anastasio, Galactic (with The Wild Magnolias Mardi Gras Indians), Ray
Lamontagne, John Mayer Trio, Dave Matthews Band, The Meters, Joss Stone and
Tom Waits.

Plenty of New Orleans music and musicians here.

American Express has announced that they will add $20 per ticket to the
relief efforts for each ticket bought with an American Express Card.

Cheers,
Steve
