There are at least two trad bands in Milan.  I suggest you do a Google 
search for " Milano Jazz Gang" and /or Milano jazz.  The Milano Jazz 
Gang is very traditional.  I forget the name of the second band but it 
might have been something like Milano Jazz Orchestra, and they played at 
the Sacramento Jubilee around 2002 or 2003.
