[Dixielandjazz] Ever heard someone who sounded like Al Hirt?

Laying aside issues of style, which some people inevitably have with Al
Hirt, I always was impressed with Hirt's air of ultimate authority on
the horn. He hit the notes he wanted to hit, and he hit them square and
hard. I enjoyed listening to him and I never worried about whether it
was jazz or not. I have a similar thing for Herb Alpert.
