A comment which impressed me in that Ben Ratcliff 8th September 2005 article
you just posted was the one from Louis Edwards, New Orleans novelist and
associate producer of the Jazz and Heritage Festival.
   "No other city is so equipped to deal with this. Think of the jazz
funeral. In New Orleans we respond to the concept of following tragedy with
joy. That's a powerful philosophy to have as the underpinning of your
culture."
What a magnificent quotable quote!
