By cutting the price to $400.00

Yep  a great fee for a band full of Doctors or Lawyers who just want to 
play a bit of music to relax on the weekends, why can't they just play 
golf with the Plumbers and hang out with guys with real money rather 
than a bunch of under or no paid musicians just to be COOL.   Heck 
Richard that's BIG money to some bands.

And like I have said before, when the buyers know what the bands work 
for every other day of the year they quickly figure out that they are 
not worth any more money on New Years Eve than they were the night 
before or what they will play for the next night.   They are not 
looking for Benny Goodman or Woody Herman or Tommy Dorsey here, they 
are looking for some background music from Delbert & his Dipshits.   
And the sad news is they probably booked it an hour after they posted 
it.

The sad state of musical affairs in some parts of the USA.


Heck that is nothing,  I had an offer yesterday to bring my 13 piece 
Show to Portland for an authentic "Marty Grau" party at some club for 
25% of the door which should be about $300.00 according to him,   only 
about 1200 miles a way, no hotels, and no meals included either, and 
they wanted us to bring the Marty Grau" Beads too.    They want to do 
it up right.
