Actually, John, Ira Ironstrings was the pseudonym used by 
guitarist/bandleader Alvino Rey for a series of novelty LPs on which he 
played banjo.  In one case ("Together for the Last Time"; 1960), he was 
paired with Joe "Fingers" Carr (Lou Busch).
