You speak as if we've all signed on to an "Aphrodite Evangelical Crusade."
Well, I certainly haven't. I've heard only three of the players. I've
also seen a couple of those players take control of the stage from bands who
generously invited them up as a guest for one or two tunes. If the entire
band can play as well as a couple of its members can promote themselves,
then they'll be worth hearing.................... Jim O'Briant

Here - Here, Jim.!
I will preface my statement by saying that Bria was an apprentice with my
band in Sacramento a few years ago. We are good friends and I think she is a
wonderful young player and entertainer. I have been a guest performer with
51st Eight (her other band) and for a young band they are very good. Are they
as good right now as some of the really seasoned bands? NOT YET!
NOW - can we get on with our lives????? I am really tired of half of the
digests being about this band! Should I get REALLY controversial here? OK - I
will. If Mighty Aphrodite was an all male band and played just like they do
now, none of you would be talking about them, or at least posting time after
time on the DJML about them.
They will do just fine. Let's get on with other stuff.
