Dear Craig,
The Sidney Bechet recording of "I Had It But It's All Gone Now" (Bechet)
with Bob Wilber's Wildcats (Columbia. 14 July 1947) lists a vocal, which is
only Bechet exclaiming, after the 2 bar intro, "I Had It, huh, but it's all
gone now". There are no other lyrics on this version.
None of the other renditions I have listed contain a vocal.
I doubt, very much, that any lyrics exist.
Unless someone has added them much later, as was the case with a tune (now
forgotten) which we discussed on the DJML earlier this year.
