Hello all

Dawn Leppard has sent the following, about the future of the splendid
re-issue label Frog.

"It is now just over a year since David's death on 24th October 2004. It
has been a year of great change for me and sadly because of ongoing family
problems, I have decided I cannot continue with FROG. I also realised from
the start that to match the quality of sound David obtained on his issues
is no easy matter and one which requires specialised knowledge and talents
that I could never hope to equal.

I have therefore decided to hand over FROG to Paul Swinton, whom many of
you will know personally and if not I am sure you will have heard of him.
With his own label of Truetone and his history of the production of vintage
records, he couldn't have better credentials for taking over Frog nor a
better understanding of "the music" or market forces and areas.

Of necessity, because of physically relocating the stock, taking over
production and marketing issues, we need some time to achieve this and FROG
will not be available for orders from now until 21st November.
But, some good news - there will be 2 new CDs to purchase then: Django
Reinhardt, The Swing Sessions, Vol.3 at the normal Frog price and an issue
(DGF 60) commemorating David, called "Sunshine Special" which includes some
of David's favourite tunes (those played at his Commemorative Day last
November) and which will be available at £6.00 (inc. postage) with the
purchase of any other Frog issue. This is notable not just for the music
but for the photographic collage Richard Crediton-Hughes has placed within
the centre of the notes. (Sorry, but it just wasn't possible to emulate Sue
Davies and her CD for John R.T. in price!)

So, farewell, thanks for your custom and support, I hope you won't be too
inconvenienced by the short break, and I look forward to seeing at least
some of you at the Fairs,

Very sincerely,

DAWN LEPPARD @ FROG "
