Nope: But dear Anton they now refer to Syringes as Needles :((

Don't have any idea if they will actually play a record or not, as I
don't run with that crowd.

For what ever it's worth I still have a beautiful $1000.00 Thorens
Turntable with a moving coil cartridge that supposedly cost about
$2,500.00 that has not had a record on it in probably 15 years now.
Have no idea if it even still works, or if the music has evaporated
out of the vinyl in the records either. :))

Cheers,

Tom ( Audiophile ) Wiggins who has forgotten more than I ever
needed to know about direct to disc recordings.

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] "Needles"

   Hello all

When this thread started, I thought "wow" - some really archaic stuff
on DJML.

Then I realised people were talking about styli and cartridges for LPs.

Needles are those lovely mild steel things that we used to play 78s,
once
only (!)

Am I being a thorn?

All the best
Anton
