Maybe this will eliminate some confusion:

The inversion of a perfect fifth (e.g. C-G) is a perfect fourth (G-C).
In other words, going up a fourth is the same thing as going down a
fifth. People sometimes think of the circle of fifths as a clock face,
but don't forget that this clock can run backwards!
