[Dixielandjazz] Anachronic Jazz Band (Some good stuff)

I wholeheartedly agree with your excitement over the Anachronic JB - the
music is fresh, inventive, and compelling. I first heard the Anachronic Jazz
Band on their first CD which Bob Ringwald loaned me more than 20 years ago
(I returned it). Even then, the CD's were impossible to obtain although I
went to the same source where Bob got his copy. Bob later loaned the CD to
someone who didn't return it.

A friend had both CDs and made copies for me which I now guard quite
closely. From time to time, I played cuts on my radio show knowing that
there were those who believed that the music of Charlie Parker, Thelonious
Monk and others wasn't worth a damn. Those cuts were always quite
well-received.

The positive and ecstatic reviews mentioned in prior posts on the DJML makes
me think that the people who hold the masters and the rights to them, should
make them available once again. Even in a limited release, it would be worth
the expense.
