Hi Russ:
Ed Metz is one of the best jazz piano players you will ever hear live these
days. Also the leader of the Bobcats, (Bob Crosby charts etc), one of the
best OKOM bands you will ever hear live these days.
Son Ed Metz Jr. is a drummer and OF COURSE, one of the finest jazz drummers
you will ever hear live these days.
Circle of Fifths (Fourths)? If one has to ask at our late stage in life, one
will never know. :-) VBG, Heh, Heh.
Not only the "most useful device", as Ed says . . . but also arguably THE
DEVICE upon which most OKOM is based.
For me (and perhaps Gunter and Ingle and a few lucky others) a cicle of 5ths
is a bottle of every single malt known to man arranged in a circle around
us.
Whereupon we are charged to drink them all.
Cheers,
Steve
