Dear Harry,
I assume that you mean "I'M GONNA Charleston Back to Charleston".
Why do musicians always screw up song titles?
It makes it harder for us back-liners and jazz researchers to help you
frontline blokes out!
Just kidding. 8>)
"I'm Gonna Charleston Back to Charleston" (1925. Roy Turk & Lou Handman).
It's in the Anderson 'fake book', which I presume you have.
Available recorded versions on LP/CD in my collection include:
Goofus Five (10 July 1925). Timeless CBC 1-042.
The Coon-Sanders Nighthawks (13 July 1925). The Old Masters mb111; ASV AJA
5342 ['The Charleston' album].
Fire House Five (30 March 1954). 'Goes South' album. Good Time Jazz L-12018.
Very kind regards,
Bill.
