Dave:

My all-time favorite, but not included on previous lists, is Eli
Newberger's solo on "Martha" with the New Black Eagles. A masterpiece!

As far as a crowd-pleaser is concerned, but not exactly OKOM, is Newberger
playing the lead of Gershwin's Prelude No. 3 with his right hand on tuba
while accompanying himself on piano with his left hand (his undergraduate
degree is in music, although he's one of the world's foremost medical
authorities on child development, especially the forensic aspects of same:
he was the expert witness for the court case a few years ago when a
British nanny was tried for abusing a youngster and subsequently
deported). That solo is on "Shake it Down," Stomp Off CD 1109, recorded
with Jimmy Mazzy.
