As a practical matter, perhaps better to put the drums in the middle so that
piano and bass hear his time equally and play to it?>>
Hi Stevel
Dead right, I`m only a drummer,so what the hell do I know, but drummer in
the middle with piano and bass either side is best. Sometimes the bass
player likes to see what the pianist is doing in which case the three should
shuffle up real tight together. Thats the only way with a small group. Big
group? Drummer in the middle, bass to one side, guitar in front.
Otherwise the drummer will have no one to talk with.
By the way. Signing off for a month. Off to the delights of the USA
tomorrow.
Cheers
pat
