Hello Hans
The Reinhardt Improvisation No 3, parts 1 & 2 were recorded for Swing, a
French EMI subsidiary, on 17 February 1943.
The matrix numbers are OSW 329-1 and OSW 329-2 and the items were issued on
Swing 225.
Note that the sides were recorded as two takes of the "same" piece.
My info comes from Max Abrams' "Book of Django" (1973) and is probably more
reliable than Delaunay.
Talking of Charles Delaunay, the Swing label was established by him and
Hugues Panassie in 1937 and has the distinction of being the first record
label devoted solely to jazz.
All the best
Anton
