Hi listees, This may be preaching to the choir, but I've found an ineresting program hosted by Bryan Wright, a 22 year-old soon to be college graduate from Boston who will be pursuing a PhD in Historical Musicology. His music features a wide spectrum from the 1910's to the early 1950's. He confided in an e-mail that he has been listening to early 78's since kindergarden, and really connected to the music of the 20's and 30's. His passion is to share this great music. What originally caught my ear was a playing of a really Hot side by Erno Rapee (!) featuring Jimmy Dorsey and Eddy Lang. I'm listening as I type - here comes a Condon Commodore with Wild Bill "That's a Plenty". I would encourage our listees from around the world to email Bryan with encouragement or information. Who knows, you may become a footnote in a PhD Doctoral dissertation! His site is: http://www.bostonpete.com/bryan It is really encouraging to hear someone this young who speaks with intelligence about OKOM, and, my friends - here is some of the promise for a future of OKOM if such there be. (Here comes Louis with the Dukes!)
Regards, Charlie (soaking up the sounds) Coleman
