I think "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie" was originally a waltz too, but don't 
quote me on that. I've got the sheet music lying around in a filing cabinet 
downstairs, but it's 12:03 and I'm not in the mood to shuffle through very old paper 
in a great big box. (I could check it tomorrow, though.) Last time I read 
through it on piano [pver a year ago!], I think the sheet music is in 3/4, with a 
4/4 version of the song printed on the back page. Of course, all the jazz 
bands I've heard play it do it in 4.
