I have tremendous admiration for Bechet.  I'm especially fond of his
clarinet playing; in fact, I prefer him on that instrument.  Listen, for
example, to "Texas Moaner" with Louis and Clarence Williams.  That's simply
some of the best blues playing to be found on record.  The Blue Note "Blue
Horizon" is on the same grand level, and of course much better recorded.
