[Dixielandjazz] Austin All-Star Concert

Dear Listers:

On Sunday, June 26, Austin Traditional Jazz Society will present an all-star
traditional jazz band led by Dallas reed player Bob Krenkel (clarinet and
bass sax).  The band will also feature stride and ragtime pianist Brian
Holland, three-time winner of the World Old-Time Piano Playing Championship.
Other players are trombonist Max Lyon, Larmon Maddox on cornet,
and Budge Mabry on drums and washboard.  I will play tuba.

This event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. at Donn's Depot, 1600 W. 5th St.,
Austin, TX.
Tickets at the door are $10, $5 for students with ID.  For more information,
see www.atjs.org.  If anyone is in the Austin area that weekend, please stop
by.  This band is very similar to that for last year's event, and it was
very successful.  Brian Holland was sensational, and we are looking forward
to more of the same this year.
