[Dixielandjazz] Sonoma Jazz + Festival

Nancy Giffin, (welcome back Nanners)  asked if I said that Diana Krall and
Tony Bennett performed at the Sonoma Jazz + Festival, which went head to
head with the Sacramento Jubilee, and is less than 100 miles away.

Yes I did. I posted on the DJML about it a month or so ago, with a note that
Sacto Jubilee Organizers might wish to check it out. Especially since Sonoma
is being advertised as an ONGOING event. Below were the "heavy hitter"
performers at this first annual Jazz + Festival.

If the Jubilee suffered an attendance decline, this may be one reason. Also
if Sonoma was well attended, it proves that the area will support MAJOR ACTS
in separate venues that charge separate admission.

The Saturday lineup would have been hard to resist for folks like me. Wine
Women and Song. And all three excellent in Sonoma, May 28. :-) VBG
