mailHi Listmates...here's a very successful band from New Orleans...the former tuba player in the Sacramento youth band, The Jumpin' Jazzin' Juniors in the bass player/tuba player in this band...MATT PERRINE...if you ever get a chance to hear them...DO IT!
I think he's also in a NO band with a terrific name.."THE NEW ORLEANS NIGHTCRAWLERS"...
Warm regards,
Bob Romans,

Road report:
Bones complete 10 show run of Colorado!
Colorado was good to the bone over June and July as Bonerama made their 4th Colorado trip in less than a year earlier this month. Joining Bonerama for most of the run was Funky Meters/PBS drummer Russell Batiste. Highlights included shows at the famous and beautiful Boulder Theatre, a Jazz Aspen snowmass performance at Aspen's premier music club "The Belly Up". Following that show Bonerama was asked back for an added repeat performance two weeks later. There were two shows in Denver, The LoDo music festival in June featured Eric Bolivar on drums followed by an unforgettable jam with the trombones on the Radiators set who followed Bonerama, -marking perhaps one of the best sit in sessions the bones have ever done. In Breckenridge, Bonerama paried up with road warriors Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes for a night of new New Orleans funk in the mountains. Rounding out the tour were two appearances in Vail including the historic 8150 club and a packed performance at Telluride's Summer Sunset Concert series. Look for a return trip to Colorado during the upcoming ski season.

next New Orleans show:
Friday Aug. 12 - Maple Leaf 10:30pm
