Which allows me to tell the story Acker Bilk told last night about the
old couple sitting on the beach. They decide they fancied an ice
cream. So the husband goes off to buy two cones, with the wife saying
don't forget the chocolate flake and the raspberry sauce.

30 minutes later he returns with two meat pies.

The wife looks up and says "I knew you'd forget the fries"

And as for the concert :-

This was the finale to the Marlborough (Wiltshire UK) Jazz festival

Acker Bilk was playing with his Paramount Jazz Band. And despite
being in his 70s still blows a mean clarinet. The rest of the band
were Enrico Tomaso (tpt) Ian Bateman (tbn) Colin Wood (pno)
Malcolm Creese (bass) and Richie Bryant (drums)

They played a selection of good old standards and the obligatory
Stranger on the Shore

It was a great end to a great weekend.
