Tailgait? Is that the speed you observe over the horse's rump you see
riding in your wagon? Gait refers to the type of movement a horse makes
from walk, to trot to gallop, etc.. I trust you all mean gate, as in an
opering to an enclosure.
Love the fact that no one -- except me and after I'd earlier responded
to one post in this thread when I didn't catch it -- caught it.
