What's this about someone or some racial group "inventing" jazz!
Jazz was not INVENTED - it evolved. Five or six musicians playing european
instruments didn't just start jazzing or swinging one day. As the song
says, they nursed it (jazz), rehearsed it, and then jazz (like the blues)
was born. "Invented it" - shades of JRM.
