Some interesting Big Bands to appear on National TV in the USA.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 18, ON ABC'S NIGHTLINE, 11:30 PM:  Cecil's Big Band, led by
Joe Elefante, will be featured. Elefante's band is the house band at Cecil's
Jazz Club in West Orange, NJ, and perform there every Monday night. The band
has also received great reviews this year from Nat Hentoff of the Wall
Street Journal and Zan Stewart at the Star Ledger in NJ.

On TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, on NBC LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O'BRIEN (Actually the
early morning hours of WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 23), Vince Giordano's Nighthawks
will appear, backing vocalist Rufus Wainwright, who they accompanied on the
soundtrack to "The Aviator."  The show airs on NBC at 12:30 a.m.  Dan
Levinson will be the guy on the end with the alto sax.

My Goodness, ELEFANTE AND GIORDANO!!!! Who else besides the ITALIANS are
actively moving big band jazz forward on National TV?
