Hi Luis,

The saxophonist is Benny Golson, and he's the real deal.  He was in the 
Great Day in Harlem photograph, played with Art Blakey and the Jazz 
Messengers (composed many of their best known pieces) and is well known for 
his work with Art Farmer in the Jazztet.  He's now in his 70s and still 
touring (heard him last year) and is one of the warmest and friendliest jazz 
musicians I've ever met.  He has a Web site, just Google Benny Golson and 
I'm sure you'll find it.  In the film they're playing one of his most famous 
tunes, Killer Joe.
