In the opening page, 2nd paragraph, dealing with music that is popular
during the 2nd week of February 1949, one of the listings is as follows:

  "Roll The Patrol" and "Sunflower" by Dick Baker (Mercury);

Not much help but it does predate the Black Dogs version by 40 years.
