[Dixielandjazz] The Boilermaker Jazz Band Swings

The Boilermakers went from a Revivalist George Lewis style and a few gigs
drawing old audiences to "Swinging Dixieland" and a lot of gigs drawing
young audiences.

Their NYE gig at the Valencia in York PA last year drew 350 of so, YOUNG,
VIBRANT, SEXY, SWING DANCERS. IMO, as a jazz musician who plays lots of
those kinds of gigs, it don't get much better than that.

What are you doing New Years? If you are not gigging, hopefully you will go
out to hear some live, swinging, jazz.

Those of you who were there last year know that the Valencia is a fabulous
Art Deco Spectacular Ballroom with a great sprung floor. We had a blast
ringing in the New Year last year, and are thrilled to return. York is just
a short drive from DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC and Pittsburgh. There is a
buffet dinner available, a full bar, and 4 hours of swinging music and
dancing with the BMJB.
