Still laughing at the blurb in this morning's paper about Atlanta's
new anthem. Seems the "Capitol of the South" has one of the country's
highest crime rates, and the city's fathers (and mayor mother) wanted a
hip-hop, rap song to help draw tourists to the town. In their politically
correct wisdom they came up with a song, the first line of its lyrics being
"Get 'em up, get 'em up, get 'em up, get 'em up, get 'em up, let's go"!
Shades of John Dillinger, Pretty Boy Floyd, and other stickup me! The
article goes on to state the populance is somewhat disturbed.
Now a bit of OKOM - what's the opinion of those on the list on their
favorite jazz CHRISTMAS CD? There are several of them - my favorite-
Christmas with The New Black Eagles JB" (Daring Records 3025, 1996).
