If anyone gets word about Hank Bartels, a string bassist who was active 
in Sacramento jazz for a long time, please post it. Hank retired a few 
years back, returned to his native New Orleans and was actively gigging, 
including spots in the French Quarter.

Hank and Evelyn's son, Vince, is currently President of the Sacramento 
Traditional Jazz Society and plays with the Fulton Street Jazz Band. To 
the best of my knowledge neither are members of the DJML.
